Change of Scenery

Well, it seems I again have slacked in the updating of the blog department. We haven't been super busy, just the everyday life kinda busy. I always feel like that is so boring coming off the heels of big trips and things so I never post after vacations, but I have taken some fun pics of none other than Miss Saylie Sue Pie and I thought for the few fans she has out there, this would be a welcomed update to the blog.

A few weeks ago, while Chris was on a business trip, Say and I were able to head out to see family to help pass the time. There were awesome summer storms one day and Amy and I threw on Say's suit and took her out to play in the rain. She maybe thought we were crazy but we had a great time!

Aunt Ceri taught Say how to dress up. She is a natural. These boot were about three inches too long for her feet, but that didn't stop her for long. Now, she is always looking for mom's heels to slip on and run around. She's surprisingly great at walking in stilettoes.

The shoes were just the start of her dressing up. She planned this outfit all on her own the other morning and was clearly elated with her skills. The shorts on her head were a special touch I thought. They go great with the shirts on her arms as bracelets. Yesterday we went to a place where we picked our own raspberries. It was really fun and they are DELICIOUS! Saylie was really happy to just be outside and be able to walk around in the fields so I would let her roam the row I was in while i picked. Generally, she would find a rock or something and sit and play with it until I encouraged her to come to a new row with me. Well, as it turns out, she is an observational learner and after seeing mom pull some things off the bush, she decided to try it out for herself. I found her at the end of the row COVERED in berry mush and seeds and wet from her head to tow from the water in the bushes. She was happy as a clam though. Now to see about getting the shirt clean...

Happy Thursday!!
