We are past the halfway mark now! I thought it was about time I show her cute little face to the world. This picture was taken back in Sept when I was about 13 weeks. It was the first time we saw her profile.
This one was a favorite at that same appointment because Chris was sitting in the exact same position with his hand behind his head. The nurse was laughing saying that the baby was mocking him.
These pictures are more recent. They are 3D scans of her face. That thing that looks like a pacifier is really her sucking on the back of her wrist. It is a little hard to see because the contrast isn't drastic enough.
And one last shot. I can't wait to see her once her face fills in and she has chubby little cheeks!
The fetal echocardiogram went really well and the heart was pumping just as it should. The only little thing they are watching is her weight...As a Diabetic mom I knew that there was a lot of risk of having HUGE babies, but the thing they are concerned about with her is that she is small. She is a tiny little one falling just under the 10th percentile. (All that means is that she is an ounce too small.) That is common in Type I Diabetes as it is a metabolic disorder and the Placenta doesn't perform exactly the way it should. It is nothing to worry about for now they will just watch me and measure her every three weeks and if she is still small at 37 weeks that indicates that the placenta isn't working well and they will deliver. In the mean time I just need to fatten her up a bit...shouldn't be a problem!

I LOVE that picture of her sucking the back of her hand! We have a pretty sweet picture of Colton flipping us the bird but that is a different kind of sweet. I wish I had your problem of a smaller baby... I feel like my stomach is going to explode. Wishing you the best with this little lady. Much love, girl!
