We started our trip with the dinner at Flip Burger. This is a burger boutique owned and operated by Chef Richard Blais. We had no idea, but he was on Top Chef Chicago. Matt clued us into this little gem and it was a hit with all of us! Within the group, we had a Korean BBQ burger, a Bacon Cheeseburger, an rBQ burger, an Ossobucco burger and a Chorizzo Burger. While we were there we also sampled the fried zucchini appetizer and an array of their crazy shakes. We sampled turtle, nutella and burnt marshmallow, rice krispy treat, Krispy Kreme. They were all pretty good! Definitely worth trying. It was the PERFECT start to our trip. Another great bonus was that my sister was in town on business so she joined us for dinner and we joined her in her hotel room. win-win!

Hot-lanta Part 1
This weekend we took a great trip to Atlanta with our friends, the Nichols. It was an action-packed, but GREAT adventure. We accomplished so much, and with two little babies tagging along, that is quite an accomplishment!

The next item on our agenda was Centennial Olympic Park. It was a really awesome park and it had a few great parks for kids to play on and a water fountain the kids could run through. All this said, it would have been much more appreciated on a fall day. It was about a million degrees and we wer dying, so we did appreciate the park, but not as much as we should have. Definitely some place I would enjoy in cooler weather!
Since it was sweltering we moved in doors and visited the "World of Coca-Cola". We saw tons of memorabilia, designer created bottles, a 4D movie (that Saylie HATED), took pictures with the Polar Bear, and tasted coke products from around the world. I was so surprised at all the variations of flavors. I enjoyed most of them. I could definately quench my thirst in Asia, South America and Africa. Europe however, that was another story. All I can say is Beverly. GROSS. I saw Chris come running up gagging and he handed me a cup...he should learn a better poker face. I tried it though, and it was as gross as I expected. We hung out at that station for a bit enjoying the shock and terror on the faces of other unsuspecting patrons. Emily, these pictures are for you!
There are a bunch more pictures and some great video to come in the next post so..stay tuned!
