So Blessed

Since both sets of Grandparents were in Northern Virginia, we took advantage of that and headed down for Mothers' Day weekend.  We blessed Audrey with lots of family and friends in attendance and it was wonderful.  Chris did a great job.  He blessed her that she would know she was so loved and that she would have a love of learning.  He also instructed her to look to me and Say for examples of how to love and follow the Savior.  (Talk about a little reminder to try and do better!)

Audrey got to wear the beautiful dress that Grandma Chappell bought her. Luckily it fit because we ended up blessing her sooner than we originally anticipated.  Good thing she is a big lady because she looked great.  We managed to get a few pictures before the weather got too cold and Audrey got hungry and the little girls got too distracted.

We love this sweet girl more and more and are so glad she came to our family.  We are also so grateful to friends and family who made the day so special.  I can't think of a better way to celebrate being a mom!

Introducing....

It finally happened.  For as quickly as I felt the pregnancy went by, the last few weeks were just like MOLASSES! I was so cranky and uncomfortable.  My feet were so swollen, My belly was so tight I thought it would rip in half, I could not sleep and the list goes on.  I am convinced that the end of pregnancy has to be kinda horrible or else why would you volunteer for labor or surgery?  I was totally ready by the time we got there.

We had all these plans laid out of how things would go the night before...nothing went according to plan. Chris picked my mom up from the airport and i put saylie to bed. then at about 2am everything came unraveled. Say woke up and could not sleep so we were up with her for a few hours. then once we fell back asleep i woke up with a low blood sugar so I had to eat before i started my fast. I pretty much never went to sleep after that.  The morning of my C-Section was totally like any other morning, which felt so bizarre! We were trying to stay calm and act normal while we killed 5 hours. It was eerily calm walking into the hospital knowing i was about to be cut in half and become a mom of 2.  As soon as my doctor (who the day before had estimated 7lb baby) made his first cut, he yells, "big baby!!" My eyes got huge and i looked at Chris and was like, "you think she's an 8 pounder?" Hahahaha they seriously had to yank her out. The doc pulled on her and two nurses were shoving down on my belly to get her out. It was intense and thank goodness for my spinal block!!! They held her up and she seriously couldn't open her eyes because there was so much skin and a forehead roll. We were dying when they weighed her and said 8lbs. 14oz. DYING!!

As babies do, Audrey changes her look everyday.  This is from the operating room. It was our first impression with our swollen, puggy little lady. (See the ridge on her nose? It was a huge forehead roll and she could barely open her eyes.  That ridge lasted about 5 days or so.)

Then a day or so later, she looked like this. Not too different, but her features started coming our as her swelling went down.

At three days we had our glorious photo shoot (will be it's own post and worth the wait I promise!!)

and now a month out, she looks like this.  Maybe they all look the same to you guys, maybe I am crazy, but I just feel like she is a totally different baby.  Also, we decided that with her eyes open vs closed she looks like two different people.  We can't wait to see how she continues to change and settle into her permanent look.  With Saylie it took about 3 months to settle on which features came from which parent and decided what color hair she would have, etc.  Jury is still out on Audrey.  She has my chin and coloring, a version of an Allsop nose, but she has Chappell cheeks and Chris' fuller lips.  Her light eyebrows make me think she may go blonde, but the mop of hair on her head makes that a little less believable.  Either way, we're still obsessed and can't help but cover those sweet cheeks in kisses. Even Saylie gets in on the action.  They are going to be such great friends.

And so, here we are with this sweet little girl taking up every spare second.  Two is definitely different than one.  I am constantly surprised at how much and how differently i love each of them. Saylie has been just a perfect older sister and despite a lot of changes and crazy schedules, she is so sweet and gentle with Audrey. I couldn't ask for better!

Recent Projects

(Rather than editing this, just know that it was written a LONG time ago and it took me this long to compile the pictures...so old news, but here it is anyway)

Like I mentioned earlier, I am in frantic project completion stage!

Some things are super important and others I have convinced myself to be...either way, I am crossing things off like a champ and it is seriously like a high.  I may be addicted to my lists!

This week I finished (pending pictures of baby girl) our family blocks.  I totally am loving them.  The empty blocks are obviously for little miss #2 and one for a family pic. so those will stay empty for a little bit....

This little project was so fun! Every once in a blue moon I have all the scraps and pieces I need to finish something.  This was one of those times. It was the BEST feeling. I saw this on Pinterest and thought that we don't really celebrate or decorate for St. Pats too much, and this was a fun way to boost our faux irish spirit in our home.  I love how this turned out! I especially love that it is so flexible. we can change the pictures each year! I love things like that.  So practical and fun!

Next, I did this little thing for Easter.  Easter threw me this year because it was so early. I don't like that!!! It didn't give me enough time. I had a long list of things to make and do and everyday I would just shorten it after looking at the size of my ankles and the other more important things I had to get done.  I did make this one sign and I am pretty happy with it.  I admit I have totally lost my drive. No energy or nesting here, just pure laziness!!

oh, and Chris demanded that we include a shot of this.  He took this picture himself.  We made pizza from scratch.  The dough was so easy and really really good.  We froze some for when le bebe comes. Cannot wait to bust that out! Chris may have gone to town with the cheese, but let me tell you-WORTH IT. It was seriously so good.  I just may prefer this over delivery.  We can't wait to try more flavors.  I think next up is Hawaiian or BBQ Chicken! YUM!

The Best Worst Week Ever...

This is a long one and there are no pictures...if you read you will understand why...nobody wants to see this.

You may have guessed that we anxiously welcomed sweet Audrey into our family a week ago.  It started off great with a very uneventful c-section and a great recovery.  Saylie adapted so fast and has just showered her little sister with adoration and gentle loves.  It seemed we were cruisin' without a hitch. I thought we had nailed this parenting of two thing and it would be smooth sailing. -WRONG-

I had my c-section on Wednesday.  We were discharged from the hospital on Friday because it would be easier to manage my blood sugars at home with my own pump, rather than by IV with nurses who were freaked out with all the post birth fluctuations. I felt really good about going home on day 2 and was anxious to get all our family under one roof and have more time with Saylie, as well as my family who came up to meet miss Audrey.  We headed home knowing that Audrey was borderline with her bilirubin counts and would require a watchful eye and more followup testing.

Saturday we headed to the pediatrician to check the bili and it was such an ordeal.  We got to the office and the doctor was surprised we hadn't already been to the lab to draw blood, but he had never instructed us to do this, nor had he provided a script for labwork.  The lab was then closed because it was Saturday so we had to go to the hospital to have L&D nurses draw it "as a favor".  I got there and they said they couldn't do it, so they sent me to "Special Pedes".  I got there and they said they could do it, but I had to go get Audrey registered first.  This was like a mile of walking, carrying my hefty girl, two days post surgery...awesome.
We got her registered, went back to pediatrics and they poked her heel for about the 15th time (not joking).
We headed home and awaited a call from the doctor. The doctor misread all the numbers and told us she was fine...then called back to say it was still high so the next day we would need to go get tested again...in the hospital again...in special pede's.

Sunday we went in and got heel poke number 16 and headed home to await results.  Both Chris and I, as well as the Pede nurse, thought Audrey was looking better so we didn't think much of it, but sure enough I got a call that night about 6 that she needed to be admitted.  Her bili was 19.2, which is pretty high.  In the low twenties they start looking into blood transfusions to excrete the waste and at 25 crazy things like brain damage and deafness can occur.  I was so bummed and scared and exhausted.  We packed our stuff up again and said goodbye to Saylie and headed to the hospital.  I was not excited about any of this.  I couldn't hold her because she was to stay between the light panels as often as possible.  I could only hold her to change her and burp her.  We even fed her in the darn lights.  For the crazy hormonal, post birth mom, this was a nightmare.  I felt so bad for abandoning Saylie again and I hated that I couldn't hold either of my girls.  I hated that I again was stuck eating hospital food that tasted like luke warm throwup.  I hated that I was sleeping on a child sized hospital bed that constantly deflated to keep me from getting bed ulcers.  I hated that I wanted to shower in my own home but only had access to a community shower in the the pediatrics floor. so many things I DID NOT LIKE, but mostly, I just hated that my baby was sick.  I felt like we should have just had her under lights from the start.  Why send me home early with a sick baby?  I thought for sure she would turn around quickly so when they tested her the next morning and she was coming down I thought we would be home that afternoon for sure.  But they wanted to do a follow up test to make sure it was still decreasing and so 4 hours later with ANOTHER heel prick, we were told it hadn't fallen enough and we were staying another night.  In hindsight it wasn't even that bad, but I was just a mess so I was not a big fan of the doctor when he said we were staying.  I had some tears and the pede nurses took pity on me.  They ordered the next test early so that if we got to go home, we would be home before midnight.  Long story short, she passed and we were disharged after a long 48 hours back in the hospital.

We got home that night so glad to be in our bed, but lo and behold I woke up about 3 am with horrible shivers. I had a fever and body aches and started throwing up everywhere.  It seems that while in Pediatrics, I picked up the Stomach Flu. AWESOME!  Let me tell ya-throwing up violently with layers of 4 day old internal stitches is a special kind of hell!  Chris was an awesome nurse and took care of me and ran to the store to get some medicine and stuff.  He came home, got a little nap in and went to work for a half day.  He is AMAZING!  By Wednesday the sickness had spread to Saylie and we were up to our knees in laundry.  We washed so many sheets and towels it was ridiculous!  Poor Say doesn't get sick much so she just felt miserable.  She threw up 8 times in the morning and couldn't keep down any liquid.  I brought her along to Audrey's follow up pediatric appointment and they took a look at her (she could barely keep her eyes open and was being carried because she was too tired to walk) and said we needed to get her some liquid. They gave her a freezer pop of Pedialyte and said that if she couldn't keep that down, we needed to go to the ER.  Well, by the time we left their office Say was in the hallway puking again so we went straight to the ER and waited in the lobby with what looked like a bunch of the sickest, dirtiest people I have ever seen.  We sat our crew down and a man said we may want to move elsewhere because his wife thought she may have meningitis  AWESOME! I was freaking out inside and could not bite my lip hard enough to keep all the tears in.  I was so worried that I had a newborn in such a filthy place full of germs.  I was terrified that in a matter of 2 hours my super active, playful girl was limp in my arms and could barely open her eyes. She was ghostly pale.  It was just so sad and scary!  Chris met us at the hospital, no doubt exhausted, and we got Say set up in a room in her tiny little puppy dog hospital gown.  She was so meek and lethargic, it was just pitiful.  Slowly but surely our little champ pulled through. She devoured the ice chips and apple juice and kept it down.  She was able to give a urine sample and after three hours in the ER we went home!

Chris and I just laughed each time we went to registration because we had seriously visited each of the desks and they recognized us and would give us the most pathetic smiles each time we came back.  We decided that this week was seriously the worst recovery we could have hoped for but still contained the best of events and we were so grateful to be together and recovering under one roof.  If we were at all concerned about surviving, we could stop worrying because we keep telling ourselves we have been initiated into the "parents of 2" club and that it will be downhill from here.  We seriously would not have survived without the help of my mom.  It was so nice being able to leave Saylie with her when Audrey was sick and send her home from the filthy ER with Audrey while we stayed with Say.  I also have no idea how Chris does it but he was just always calm and cool and supportive.  I was a mess and he held everything together and still got off to work and didn't complain.  I am such a lucky girl!!

The bug is now slowly working its way through the rest of our crew and Mom and Chris are on the mend, but seriously....this week is one for the books. So glad it came, but we are SO glad it is over!

Twas the Week Before...

Twas the week before baby and all through the house
were things overlooked, passed off to my spouse.

The carpets need cleaning, the dishes too,
Where do we live? A home or a zoo?!

My ankles are swollen, hormones are crazy,
please can I just go have this baby?

I hate wearing pants, I hate wearing shoes,
If I can bend without grunting it's really big news!

One week from today we'll be a family of four
and the sleep will be less, the chaos, much more.

So stay tuned for pictures of a cute little miss
and pray we survive, especially Chris!

Seriously though- I felt great and had energy and then a switch flipped and I am super cranky and complaining all the time and my feet are just so fat and swollen and they hurt and I can't fit into any clothes.  I had my feet up on the couch and Say was sitting on the couch with me (well attempting) and she got a concerned look on her face and said, "Guys, we have a big problem!" I asked what was the matter and she said, "There's not enough room on the couch. Your belly is too big!" Chris about ruptured his intestines laughing. I am pretty sure water shot out both nostrils.

I have been cleaning non stop but I feel like I move like molasses so things never stay clean and it is really discouraging.  This week has been especially rough on the hormones.  Say has a cold or something that has given her the trots so she has had a few accidents in her pants, which aren't her fault and just never happen.  So we have cleaned a lot of outfits and scowered and rescowered the tub everyday.  We washed a diaper that accidentally got put into her hamper so we got to clean silicone beads out of all the clothes and washer and dryer. It was miserable.  We have had appointments everyday, which are just not fun anymore, and my ipad temporarily broke sending me into a panic attack! Yeah, this was only two days into the week. Like I said, it's been rough.  Chris and Saylie have been champions and are so sweet and helpful though so I think we'll probably survive.  That said, We are prepared and ready for this girl to get here.  We have freezer meals made and things laid out for Say and Grandma to do while we're at the hospital.  We have most of our projects temporarily wrapped up and life is good.

One last thing I REALLY wanted to document was just how much I am in love with Saylie.  She has pushed a lot of buttons in my hormonal state and I am not always super patient, but man is she awesome and I just wanted to make sure I recorded that.  She is funny and creative, smart and sweet, spunky and independent, and I just LOVE her.  She is her own little person and we just couldn't have designed her better! She said the best stuff.  I wish I could just follow her around with a recorder.
  • We went to the doctor yesterday and she walked in and struck a  little pose, pulled out the sides of her skirt and said, "I got new clothes!" hahah
  • then she always says sweet things like, "thanks momma, you are the best in the whole world" for simple things like getting her a glass of chocolate milk.
  • She has found a pair of crazy straw glasses and d rinks out of them all the time.  A repairman came to fix our microwave and she went up to him and said, "what is your name?" and he told her James, so she skipped her introduction and points to me and goes, "this is my mom, Jenny and my baby sister Audrey" then she ran and got her glasses and said, "these are my crazy eyes so I can drink and I see water all over my eyeballs!" hahahah He was totally entertained by her the whole time he worked.
  • She wants to wear a dress every SINGLE day!
  • She tells Chris he is her prince charming and will give him kisses and when we kiss her back she says, "Awww shucks!"
  • She will jump up and down and say "I can't wait until baby Audrey comes, I can't wait, I can't wait!" and yesterday she pushed her face into my belly and yelled, "come out, come out wherever you are!"
  • she potty trained like a champ.  In church the other day she really loudly notified us "I need to go POOP! so I took her and when we got back she walks in and yells, "Dad I pooped in the potty, can I get a puppy from the puppy store?" Chris shot me a horrible look of disgust like he thought I had promised her something so random in the bathroom.  Rest assured her biggest reward is usually a skittle or piece of gum. we are not dog people.  The families around us surely think we are nuts!
we just love her. I get a little sad about leaving her to stay at the hospital, but I know she'll be in good hands.  She is just so special and we cannot imagine how we got so lucky. Life before Saylie was awesome, but now that we know what we were missing, we would just never consider going back. We love you Saylie Buggers!

Nursery Reveal

So with that awesome bed for Saylie in place, we could officially steal back the crib.  most of the things in the nursery are the same things we used for Saylie, but it ended up looking totally different! I love how that happens!!

So changes we have made are-

the striped walls (which you already saw) and the same dresser, cabinet as we used before.  I put the pink cover on, which last time I hardly ever used because Say's room was mostly yellow, orange and green...not very girly huh? hahah

The pink crib sheets instead of yellow and white.

I added a fun little ruffle pillow for some more pops of color.

The bookshelf is new to hold all the random little things.  Of course a new bookshelf needs a new frame and apothecary jar, am I right?! haha. I LOVED this idea of passies in a jar and was super excited when I knew we would have a little "she" because it may look to dainty in a boy nursery.  That was the first thing that was ready to go in this new room!

This name frame was a fun project that just sat forever and then finally took shape in a matter of days.  I bought the frame at this awesome little antique shop in Milford and had no idea where to put it or what to put in it, but I knew I NEEDED it!  Once the stripes were up in the nursery and we knew girl, I realllllly wanted to fit it in there somehow.  Chris helped me clean up the glass and reinforce the wood and I saw this great flickr site that had free letters, so I got to work.  The name was the hardest and last part.  There is no going back now because custom matting is kinda pricey I learned, so if we decide to change her name, it MUST be six letters! hahah

This last little guy was my FAVORITE! I saw it online and thought it was so sweet.  I bought the pattern and started cutting fabric and instantly started doubting the outcome.  I was soooo unsure how it would look.  One I put some stuffing in one balloon, I was smitten! With each step it just got cuter and cuter and the little buntings had me smiling ear to ear like an idiot! I TOTALLY LOVE IT!  It probably is more for me to look at than for her, but I think it just ties everything together perfectly! I will try and get a better picture when I have more hands to help.  It wouldn't stop spinning so they were all blurry. Trust me though, it's adorable!

So, we are officially ready for her to come...which in mom language means, what is TAKING SO LONG! Let's do this, come on little miss. Your clothes are washed, food is frozen, bed is made...let's get this show on the ROAD!  WE cannot WAIT to meet you!

Say's Real Birthday

I realized that I jumped the gun on Saylie turning 3! The party was kinda the climax of the celebration so it trumped the real date a little bit.  None the less, we did celebrate it and had a great time! She is such a fun girl and we could not feel luckier that she is in our family.

We started off the morning with Chappell tradition and had breakfast and presents first thing! PLEASE IGNORE US SINGING OFF KEY. It was like 6:30 and I had been awake all of ten minutes!

I saw these and they just looked tasty and like something Saylie would LOVE so we did Cake Batter Pancakes.  Good idea!!! The bad part is now that is all she has been asking for...cake for breakfast. hahah.

Then she tore into her presents! (There is one exception and that is a mermaid Barbie set and shoes from Grandma Chappell.  The shoes are being shipped and I cheated and let her pick the toy part. so she has been playing with that for a few days already.  Rest assured Grandma, she hugged the box the whole way through the store and bathed and ate and slept with her barbie mermaid!! She LOVES that thing!!  She also loved this wig from Aunt G.  She has not taken it off all day! She even begged to wear it to the doctors, which luckily didn't end up happening, but she DID NEED to wear it to the bathroom.

Later that day Say and I made a cake, which again, she loved.  She kinda is obsessed with sweets...I may have been overusing them as bribes in all our errand running, doctor attending. oops!

That night when dad got home we had dinner, sang,  blew out candles and had cake! It was such a fun day to celebrate such a fun girl!! We love you Suzie Bean!!!!  She told us while we were eating cake that "MY WISH CAME TRUE! I GOT TO EAT A PIECE OF CAKE!"  I love her so much! That was seriously her birthday wish! If only it stayed that way, right?

Ta Da

By the looks of my belly, we are clearly in the home stretch.  Saylie was talking about my belly (because it was nearly too big for my shirt and was falling out).  So i said, "yeah, mom's belly is big and round like a basketball, huh?" To which she replied, "and you face too!" Hahaha awesome! Thanks for that boost of confidence.  All in all i am feeling really good, but getting a little nervous about the lack of time and abundance of to-do's.

Now, onto better things.  That awesome husband of mine who takes on lots of my projects has really outdone himself!  He finished Say's bed!! Doesn't it look awesome?! He ended up making a hybrid of two styles i liked and i am pretty thrilled!  One was a platform bed, but I liked this headboard way better, so he had to trim down some of the dimensions to make the headboard for a platform bed that he already built.  We decided to build it because that way, should we decide to have the girls share a room, we could build another one and have matching beds, rather than worrying about trying to track down an older furniture line or coordinate between two different ones.  Isn't he the best? I just LOVE HIM!

So, now her bed and sheets and comforter have been added to her room.  Then I just added these ruffles to her curtains for some pops of color and with the extra fabric, made this little guy.  I love it! It seems too old for my baby girl, but then I realize that she has just grown up that much. CRAZY!

While we were at it, we decided to knock off another room on our list and zoned in on our EMPTY dining room. With the expected company coming to meet lil miss, we felt like we really should have more than four chairs to sit on in our ENTIRE house (pretty pathetic).  We toyed with building a table and buying chairs, but it just ended up not saving that much.  Darn chairs are so expensive! Then it happened that i saw this set, which cost about the same as the chairs we wanted for the table we would've built, so this seemed simple and thus, PERFECT!  I especially love the sideboard.  It makes the room a little tighter, but it holds all my big, odd shaped serving dishes and so now I have a whole empty cabinet in the kitchen for baby bottles, jarred foods, and all the teething biscuits, puffs, etc that little miss could ever want.  I am beyond thrilled about that. It is a little sick how much I LOVE things having an orderly place.  Even if I don't always put them there, I just like knowing there is a system in place.  This table has been one of the most enjoyable purchasing experiences of my life! They price matched, offered a discount, took off sales tax and delivered and set it up the next day! UM AWESOME!  As is becoming standard, now that we have the table and hutch, we really feel like we need to break and get curtains.  I have never done bay window curtains before so I am trying to be sure I have the right hardware and rod dimensions, but the panels will be a cinch.  (please ignore the boxes stacked against the wall...those go in the office on a bookshelf we won't have for a long time, but I had moved them out of sight for a party....)

Hopefully, there is enough time to wrap up a few more things before our boat gets rocked by this little one. I am getting so anxious to meet her and just get her here and snuggle and smell her (is that weird?)!!!  stay tuned...you never know what this crazy, nesting lady will crank out next!! (Nursery pics, belly shot, dining room drapes and MORE to come!!!)

Suzie Bean Turns 3!

It still sounds crazy when I say it out loud. I have a THREE YEAR OLD!  She is seriously one of my most favorite people in the whole world. She can get me pretty frazzled, but she is so funny, and sweet, and smart, and just a party to be around.  She comes up with the funniest things to say and is always good to give out loves and snuggles.  I am totally smitten with her.  The closer I get to having the baby, the more I just love my little girl who is growing up so fast.  Since I know there are a ton of changes coming around the corner, we decided to try and do some Saylie-Centered things prior to the baby.  We broke and planned  a birthday party. I was really hesitant about putting one more thing on our list and about how successful a three year old party would be, but it was so fun and I am so glad we did it.  We feel so lucky to have such great friends and that Say was able to meet so many great kids in our area.  Here are some highlights from the party. (again, I was up to my neck in craziness so the pictures are lacking, but they help get an idea)

We did a cupcake themed party just to keep it simple. She has some cute little boy buddies so I didn't want to get too girly so we make apron invitations and they all came and we played freeze dance. (A MUST! It was so fun to watch them strut their stuff! Oh i love these kids at this age!)

Then we colored some bands and made tissue paper chef hats.  Some of the kids were more keen on the idea of being a cupcake ninja, rather than a chef, so they just wore their band. hahah

Say and I had personalized these great little aprons from OTC and so each guest put on their apron and we decorated cupcakes, which they ate and then made another one to take home.  I was pretty impressed with how well they did.  They were pretty neat and creative and I was really impressed with their skills!! We did go through a LOT of knives because there was some serious frosting licking going on and we didn't want to pass out too many germs.

Then we ate and played pin the candle on the cupcake and did presents.

It amazed me how much Saylie had grasped to concept of opening presents just in the few months after Christmas.  All the kids were so excited about each one and when she was opening their present they could hardly contain their excitement. It was so fun to watch.  Each round the circle would get closer and closer until they were practically sitting on top of each other.  After each gift, Say would want to stop and play with it and had to be coaxed into putting it aside for a minute to open another one.  She has some great friends with great taste!!

All in all, it was a huge success and we were so happy we did it.  We love this special girl so much and it was so fun to celebrate her and see her having such a great time.  Sayzerbean, we love you sweet girl!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY (until next week when we celebrate for real!)

Recent Projects

I hit the nesting phase way later than i remember doing last time. I have been so ready for it though. I remember being so ambitious and productive last go around.  Unfortunately, i did hit the demanding phase where i want things done, but wasn't not energetic enough to do them. Poor Chris gets roped into all my projects. DIY has turned into DIH - "do it himself".

Over Labor Day we decided to refinish our kitchen table.  It was warped from water stains and had crafting scratches in it.  We weren't sure if it would work, but i wanted to make a pattern so we settled on chevron. We sanded the table down and taped it off and this was the finishing result. It totally worked and we LOVE how it turned out.

The next thing we did was building this bookshelf for Say's room. It was another project that would have been just ok if I did it on my own, but with the Mr and his patience, it turned out better than i imagined. We got the plans from Ana White's site. It was a fun Saturday project.

We painted the nursery. The green wasn't too bad, but i just liked the tan color and thought stripes would be fun.  Now we have finally been able to put the nursery together. Just in time, i have like a month until this girl joins us! Egads!!

Once the nursery was painted it started a wonderful domino effect. The big thing missing was the crib.  Say needed a new bed if we were going to take back the crib. So we (pronounced Chris) are finishing the bed this week and I am working on the curtains and some extra things for each room.  There will be a simple, but complete reveal in the next week or two! Pretty simple, but that's how i roll.

We have a lot more things on our list to keep us busy so we'll try and do better with before and after pictures.
coming up...
*dining room
*Say's party and birthday
*and of course a bunch of things for the new little miss.  I have felt bad that I didn't do a lot of prep for her because we had so much from Saylie, so I have taken on a few things to make sure she has some stuff that is all her own.

Stay tuned!!
